Seattle Seahawks vs Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football

Seattle Seahawks vs Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football: Time, TV channel, score, how to watch live online

The Seahawks are coming off a 27-24 loss at Denver in Week 1 where the Seattle offense produced points, but couldn’t keep pace with their opponent. Coach Pete Carroll said quarterback Russell Wilson must find a way to perform better, but the offensive line also needs to step up after they allowed six sacks last week, with three by Denver linebacker Von Miller. Now Seattle faces another star linebacker in Khalil Mack as they travel to Chicago for a Monday night matchup with the Bears.

The Seattle Seahawks offensive and defensive units were inconsistent during their 27-24 loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 1. The Seahawks need to pick up a win or possibly fall further behind the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC West. That’s why it’s critical they produce a win against the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football at 5:15 p.m. PT/8:15 ET p.m., on ESPN or try a FuboTV (free trial).

The Seahawks (0-1) have no one but themselves to blame for their loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 1. The offense moved the football when quarterback Russell Wilson had time to throw. He threw three touchdown passes, but he was constantly under duress by the Broncos, who posted six sacks in the game. Three of those sacks were by Denver linebacker Von Miller, who also forced two fumbles. Now the Seahawks must face Bears linebacker Khalil Mack, who had a spectacular debut with the Bears with a sack, forced fumble and interception.

Once again, the Seahawks offensive line had their problems. The unit didn’t consistently protect Wilson, but the running attack gained a total of 65 yards, despite a renewed emphasis during preseason.

The Bears (0-1) blew a 20-point lead in their bitter loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 1. The Bears looked like a potential breakout team when they dominated the Packers and took a 17-0 lead in the first half. The offense seem to go conservative in the second half and they scored just six points. Second-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky couldn’t handle the pressure of maintaining the lead.

The defense also choked in the second half, particularly allowing gimpy Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to hit wide receiver Randall Cobb for a catch-and-run through the secondary for a 75-yard touchdown and the go-ahead score with 2:13 left in the game.
